
Good. Because for two weeks straight Ginger Jake of Gimlet Gulch (guess, that’s their name) ransacked an exact duplicate of Lumberwoods excepting for one minor detail.
The welcome page had been slightly redesigned showing rather a screen grab from orginal Super Mario Bros. for NES stating: “Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle!” Oops! Guess they missed the memo.
You may applaud now.
Meanwhile, during all the chaos, Lumberwoods, having since already been reuploaded to a brand new webhosting service, was in another castle a million miles away.

See, every three years or so rather than opting to renew web hosting, Lumberwoods actually signs up a new account to take advantage of cheap hosting deals for new customers rarther than the royal screw job webhosts traditionally reserved for their loyal patrons. Lumberwoods' reup was due in mid-March, and the timing was most opportune.
So, in a way, I did play a shell game, and like most shell games, it was more than what met the eye. Sure, they kept a close eye on the shells, but the ball was already long gone.
Any way you phrase it, I Mel-Brooks the hell outta 'em.
Additionally, also recaping on the last entry, I mentioned the hodag, and I expounded on how the hodag's rebirth is for a purpose unlike the phonenix which simply rises from the ashes for the sheer sake of it. That purpose being to "wreak havoc," the good kind, though. And so, I promised to follow by its example, and I hope I've delivered.
Oh and happy twentieth anniversary to Lumberwoods (April 2006 — April 2026).
Now, most would consider a twentieth anniversary a momentous one. And they'd be right. And while I did orginally plan for a more elaborate celebration, sometimes life intervenes and things being as they are, it doesn't
