WELCOME TRAVELERS OF THE HALLOW WOODS (February 18, 2026)—“‘The time has come’, the Walrus said, ‘to talk of many things. Of shoes, and ships, and sealing wax. Of cabbages, and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings.’ ”

Or so wrote Lewis Carroll. But that was a wonder land and this is the lumberwoods and, mind you, the question at hand is neither of cabbages nor kings but rather phoenixes, hodags and gremlins (oh my!). And how each of these remarkable creatures plays a key role in our current goings.

As for flying pigs totally love to incorporate them (always up for flying pigs) but that remains to be seen.

So the story goes, upon taking its final breath, the phoenix ignites with feathers of fire only to rise from its own ashes to begin life anew. It is regarded as a noble and venerable symbol with countless depictions in art and poetry stretching back over two millennia. Now, as to the real question of what it does in its free time when not being reborn is anyone's best guess.
