APRIL FOOLS’ CAME EARLY THIS YEAR.

WELCOME TRAVELERS OF THE HALLOW WOODS (April 1, 2026)—In the Mel Brooks’ film Blazing Saddles (1974), residents of the western frontier town of Rock Ridge construct a complete duplicate of the town "right down to the orange roof on Howard Johnson's outhouse" to serve as a decoy against a gang of bonehead ruffians and thugs, which meet their demise after attacking the wrong Rock Ridge to comedic and explosive results.

But that was just a comedy film, truly no one is that dumb in real life? Right? ... [Hold for applause].

So, last Janaury and February, Lumberwoods came under attack from an unauthorized user adding malicious code all across the site. I diligently removed it, only for it to be added back.

Now, readers of my last entry might recall myself mentioning a little shell game I intended to play by taking the site and burrying it under directories. But what I omitted was that sometimes the actual story isn't the story you think. Sometimes the story is being told what the story is rather than the story itself.

Still, holding those applause?
